Pyratex® upcycled fabrics are made with recycled cotton from post industrial textile residue collected from all over the world. 
One kilogram of virgin cotton needs around 13,000 liters of water during farming, processing and dying.
one kilogram of our upcycled cotton doesn’t need any water: it’s not farmed, processed, nor dyed.
The fibers in Pyratex® fabrics are mechanically recycled in Spain and the yarn is spun in Portugal, a process during which 50% of the energy used is solar. it’s not a chemical recycling process and no pulp is involved: the fiber is, and remains, cotton.
